Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do (pronounced tay-kwon-doe) is a martial art that developed in Korea and is considered to be a superior form of self-defense. Tae Kwon Do means the 'kicking and punching way.'

The total art form encompasses the mind, body and spirit. Tae Kwon Do not only helps one achieve flexibility, power, endurance and balance, but provides a foundation for self-confidence, respect and discipline that will carry over into all aspects of life.

At U.T.A. we offer classes for Adults, Families, and Children.


Adult Classes

UTA provides our adult students with the knowledge of correct stretching to aid in flexibility. Our classes are an excellent way to help stay fit and improve your overall well being. We hold high energy fun filled classes that will help with coordination, concentration, and mental alertness. UTA is a great way to improve your self confidence and learn practical self defense maneuvers.

Family Classes

It's unlikely that your child can attend a health club with you. And you would probably feel a little out of place if you joined in with your son or daughter's soccer team. Yet, at United Tae Kwon Do Academy, every age of family member can train together side by side. As a parent, you will also be setting an invaluable example for your child about the importance of regular exercise.

Best of all, no two classes are alike. You and your children will appreciate the varied, high-energy workouts and be motivated to attend lessons regularly. I'm sure you are always aware of the places your child goes and the people that surround them. At UTA you can be confident that you and your family will be developing relationships with sincere, motivated, healthy families dedicated to self- improvement. You will also share the pride of seeing each family member advance and move on to each new belt. It is something that the entire family will be proud of!

Child Classes (Tiny Kickers)

UTA will provide your child with the tools required to help in grade improvement by giving them the discipline needed to study, complete homework, and organize their time wisely, and leadership skills to help them succeed in life. We teach them to set goals and to take responsibility for their own actions.

Our training will increase their physical aptitude and fitness increasing their stamina and agility. Maintained UTA training will also greatly improve mental development and provide realistic self-defense skills. United Tae Kwon Do not only teaches several life changing skills but is safe way to make friends, stay in shape, and have fun!

Cardio Kickboxing


Are you bored with your current fitness routine? It may be time to kick your way to one of the hottest workouts around. Kickboxing, also referred to as boxing aerobics and cardio kickboxing, is a hybrid of boxing, martial arts and aerobics that offers an intense cross-training and total-body workout. It blends a mixture of high-power exercise routines that strengthen the body and mind, decrease stress and hone reflexes while increasing endurance and cardiovascular power.

No martial arts, boxing or kickboxing experience necessary.

 

 

In UTA’s Cardio Kickboxing class you will:
Burn up to 800 calories per hour
Tone muscles
Fight fat
Reduce stress
Enhance cardiovascular endurance
Learn basic self defense techniques

Olympic Competition

UTA’s Olympic Competition Training offers in depth intense training including kicking, speed/paddle, hogu, reaction, footwork, and endurance drills, ring management and competition sparring. We use video analysis and provide excellent 1 on 1 training.
